Set of eight cockpen style dining chairs feature cane seat insets and claw foot cabriolet front legs. Rear legs are slightly splayed. Set consists of two host chairs and six side chairs. The cockpen style chair derives it's name from Cockpen Parish church near Edinburgh, Scotland, and has seen several variations including a Chinese Chippendale of similar design by Thomas Chippendale. Good vintage condition with imperfections consistent with age. Structurally sound. Cushions included are in good condition. Professional upholstering as well as lacquering services are available.
